Jinotega

Jinotega is a department county in the north of the country. It is located in a mountainous region, with a cooler climate than Managua and other cities in the Pacific basin. ATRAVES works with several educational institutions in Jinotega, including an escuela normal, or teacher-training school. Volunteers have supported technology, arts and English education in Jinotega.
